Add some Frontier Whiskey spirit to your next tailgating affair with these recipes from Bulleit Bourbon.
Kentucky Colonel
3 ounces Bulleit Bourbon
1/2 ounce Benedictine
Lemon twist
Shake the bourbon and Benedictine in a shaker with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
The Anytimer
1.3 ounces Bulleit Bourbon
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce lemon juice
½ ounce simple syrup
½ ounce amaretto
Orange and cherry for garnish
Shake ingredients and strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with a cherry and an orange slice.
The BLT
1 ½ ounces Bulleit Bourbon
2 lemon wedges
3 ounces tonic
Build in a highball glass, serve over ice.
Bulleit Rye Manhattan
1 ounce Bulleit Rye
½ ounce sweet vermouth
3 dashes Angostura bitters
Cherry
Stir together with ice all ingredients except cherry. Strain into a coupe cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry.
Bulleit Bourbon BBQ Sauce
¾ cup Bulleit Bourbon
½ onion, minced
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ tablespoon salt
2 cups ketchup
¼ cup tomato paste
1/3 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons liquid smoke flavoring
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
½ cup packed brown sugar
1/3 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (or to taste)
- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the bourbon, onion and garlic. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until onion is translucent.
- Mix in the ground black pepper, salt, ketchup, tomato paste, vinegar, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Run sauce through a strainer if you prefer a smooth sauce.
